Opening Reception Tomorrow
I’m part of an exhibition featuring 10 sculptors from Alberta. The opening reception is tomorrow, Saturday, September 15 from 2-5pm at Wallace Galleries in Calgary, Alberta.

New Polymer Clay Pendant
Unfortunately, things are moving at a snail’s pace in the studio. It’s a frantic time of year in the post secondary world and my days have been swallowed up with preparations for another year at the helm of the Red Deer College Visual Art program.
Managed to squeeze in a little studio time over the long weekend and came up with this little pendant.
Parallel Pursuit
As I continue to work on the series of miniatures, I often like to have a parallel project to work on… usually unrelated to the main body of work. I’ve decided to work on some 12″ figure sculptures. I haven’t built an armature since art school. Good thing Internet remembers how!!!
Another Sketchbook Page
Another page of drawings to generate some ideas. I’m trying to design a project/series that I can work on parallel to the ongoing series of miniatures. I’m leaning toward a series of 12″-15″ figures in polymer clay and mixed media however there may also be some some drawings produced as finished works as well. Stay tuned.
Preparatory Drawings
After a few weeks of no studio activity things are warming up again. I’m currently generating ideas for a new miniature piece that will house 12 individual vignettes within a single frame.
